What a week spent in the Neurology Department of Methodist Hospital since Tuesday, the 27th and I was released from the hospital yesterday. It all started with seizures that led to a 911 call. At one point, they glued about 50 probes to my head and they were all connected to a machine that recorded the seizures. They told me that there was a lot of activity although any times I didn’t feel a thing. Getting up to use the bathroom was a real hassle and I wasn’t able to have a shower for a few days.
The cause is suspected to be auto-immune/low sodium but tests were sent to Mayo Clinic and I have not heard any conclusive results. It has been pretty serious brain trauma and I am feeling exhausted and it will take some recovery time.
