It sure has been a beautiful fall-like week around here with sunny skies and temps climbing near 70° the last few days. The trees across the field from me are especially beautiful right now and are getting brighter each day.
I took a drive up to Montello to see Pat & Roger on Monday and it was pretty iffy with Joey and Chloe initially. We took them for a walk down the road and it wasn't long and they were being nice to each other, sharing sniffs, and covering up each other's potty. It was nice to see those guys again, we sat out in the back yard and enjoyed the sunshine in their beautiful spot.
I installed a curtain rod to hand my hand-blown glass balls and it finishes off the living room and emptied out another bin. Yay!
Tracey needed a ride to the chiropractor yesterday, so I dropped her off and then went to get bloodwork done at the clinic for my next infusion - it's not scheduled until March, but they wanted to have that done in advance. After our appointments, we went to Walmart and did a bit of grocery shopping. The back hatch of my car was loaded down.
Today's project was to finish my application for SNAP benefits (should save $290 in groceries each month), which included a telephone interview and uploading my ID and insurance premium information. When I finished that, I headed in to the post office to pay for and mail my passport renewal ($146 included $130 for the renewal, plus a money order, and postage) and then to City Hall to cast my early vote for the November 3 mid-term election. Blue baby, blue - all the way for this gal!
It is so much easier to take care of business in this small town - no long lines to be concerned with and everyone is friendly and efficient.
