I had 2 jobs to take care of this week and Karen’s only took me an hour. Her house in Highlands is vacant so all I did was dust off the surfaces and cleaned up some weeds in the yard.  Tom dropped me off there, ran his errands, and then the 2 of us shopped for groceries. We’ve been eating lots of veggies lately and our little refrigerator has a hard time handling the volume, but we manage to fit them in.

Tom is feeling much better from the crud that he had and has been working on installing new levelers on the trailer.  I have had some sinus problems and am sick and tired of sniffing, sneezing, and snorting. I don’t think I caught what he had, though, and I’m thankful for that.

My family in the Midwest are suffering with a polar vortex that is bringing them snow and sub-zero temperatures.  Schools in Minneapolis have been closed all week. Pat sent me a picture of his thermometer yesterday, reading -18 degrees and that doesn’t count for the high winds. Mail deliver, schools, and many businesses have closed to keep people from exposure.

We had breakfast at Mickey D’s Yesterday, a very popular spot in AJ. Breakfast was good and pretty cheap too.  I gave my car a bath and a good inside cleaning when we got back home.
