Later on, we packed a lunch and then picked up Penny's Mom, Norma, and went for a boat ride. Norma and I both started crying as soon as we saw each other - she lost her husband, Phil, just 2 days after Mike passed away. It is typical midwest summertime weather, hot and humid, but was tolerable out on the lake - and we had it to ourselves.
Tonight, all of my nieces and nephews and their families joined us for the evening. It was so nice to see them all. The little ones had a great time playing in the water and we had a great time visiting. Unfortunately, I was not very good about taking photos and the ones that I did get didn't turn out very good. Hopefully, other family members will share.
