Friday, May 31, 2019, SD

Once again, we were hooked up, secured, and on the road by 10:00 this morning.  It was a long, 270-mile drive and we ran into some construction that delayed us at least a half-hour and then we got behind three slow moving tractor trailers hauling huge round bales of hay. One truck was loaded with 18 of them, no wonder he was moving slow.  We also stopped often to check on the trailers tire wear and all looks good there - for now.

An exciting sight on this trip was a flock of White Pelicans that flew over in formation. They are so graceful.

We got settled into our sight at the Countryside RV, Motel, and Convenience store at the junction of
I-29 and US-18.  The site is quite nice but the location sucks.  Our front door faces the off ramp from the freeway and it is going to be loud.  It’s a good thing that we will probably find things to do during the day.
